J Yook]Nutanix (www.nutanix.com), the provider of scalable converged data centre systems for virtualised workload, today announced at VMworld Barcelona, Mason IT as their first cloud service provider in EMEA. Mason IT, a private cloud provider and Value Added Reseller (VAR), will utilise Nutanix cluster within their own data centres and provide on-premise solutions for their customers.

Mason IT offers the only sustainable private cloud solution in EMEA built using Nutanix technology. Mason IT chose Nutanix due to its flexible, scalable and predictable performance. Nutanix‘s innovative solution collapses the conventional two-tiered data centre design of storage and compute down to one single scalable appliance, delivering the world’s first flash-accelerated datacentre, capable of hosting thousands of virtualised workloads without the need for a SAN.

With many analysts predicting cloud services to rapidly increase in the next few years and the EU stating that businesses will be investing EUR 45 billion in cloud computing by 2020, the Nutanix Cluster is the ideal platform for building a sustainable, SAN-free datacentre.
