Many medical imaging equipment used in hospitals were low-performance SD grade level. But the recently developed medical imaging equipment such as endoscopic, arthroscopic, etc. are being evolved in the direction of outputting full HD video in high resolution as the video technology and the information communication technology have recently been developed.

In particular, the equipment with a built-in output function of DICOM that is connected to the electronic system (EMR, etc.) of hospitals have appeared up. However, they only provide the conversion and delivery related parts of video despite their expensive price. And they have a limit that they are not able to videos of all medical imaging equipment through one single gateway due to the compatibility issue of many different video formats.

“WiseVue” PACS gateway, that was newly developed by PANANOMICS Co., Ltd. is a product that complements all the advantages and shortcomings of the gateway of high-performance medical imaging equipment. It can have a wide use while it is not limited to particular equipment through receiving full HD image based on the international standard for video signal processing.

It maximizes the convenience of a user through providing the easy-to-use UI and easy installation method, and it is compatible, that can link to any PACS since it complies with the DICOM 3.0 that is the international medical imaging standard.

It can record a patient treatment process since it can record a video along with still images; thereby, also providing additional services based on this. Moreover, it is able to search and manage patient information and do stable management of video data.

Further, it includes its own decoding program in consideration of the hospitals that do not use PACS. The medical doctors who do decoding can do re-decoding anytime during or after recording (treatment); thereby, providing better medical services to patients.

“’The newly developed WiseVue’ PACS gateway is able to convert videos of all the ranges, such as full HD, SD video and interlaced scanning and progressive scanning, which are the scanning methods of each video signal, into DICOM 3.0 that is the international standard,” CEO Ju Sang Lee said. “It is possible to apply to all the medical imaging equipment products at low cost and we plan to apply all image resolutions, which will be standardized to the product.”
