[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]PANANOMICS Co., Ltd. (CEO Ju Sang Lee, www.pananomics.com), a company specialized in medical equipment in Gangwon-do, developed the flat panel digital X-ray detector (FPD: Flat Panel X-ray Detector) “Wise-DR FPD”.

The existing X-ray imaging equipment had the problems that may affect the patients such as delaying and retaking the shot. There have been a lot of developments of the digital X-ray detector to acquire high quality images with less radiation in order to supplement such disadvantages. And the developments of the CCD detector and the flat panel X-ray detector based on a-Se and a-Si sensors have been recently completed.

The flat panel digital X-ray detector “Wise-DR FPD”, which was recently developed by PANANOMICS Co., Ltd., improved significantly the interface and the resolution of the existing detectors in order to convert easily the existing film X-ray system into a digital X-ray.

It has the detection size of 17x17 inches and the resolution of 16 megapixels using a-Si sensor. And it was developed as enhancing the user experience through reflecting the company’s image processing technology of the CCD type detector of 16 megapixels and the expertise of PACS and DR equipment so that it can be easily applied and used in hospitals.

It can be currently utilized more conveniently on site than the competitors’ products since it was developed through addressing the shortcomings of the existing digital X-ray equipment. Above all, it boasts the excellent technical specifications and outstanding performance since it improved the radio transmission function, the X-ray linkage function, etc.

In addition, it minimizes the inconvenience of the existing users since its proprietary digital image processing software is perfectly compatible with the existing system such as PACS software, etc. And it provides the latest product and service in the digital X-ray environment that requires a consistent management since it can manufacture and supply both products of CCD detector and a-Si detector.
