“We have opened Seoul branch office of the medical equipment business unit last month in order to embark on the business in the field of the medical equipment in earnest, which was the main business unit of Taeyeon Medical Co., Ltd.,” Gil-Woon Choi, CEO of Taeyeon Medical Co., Ltd. said.

Taeyeon Medical Co., Ltd. has recently expanded its businesses into the health care field in addition to the orthopedic implants; thus, it has been focusing on the related businesses through developing and releasing the new brand “Natural Wave” using sound wave and participating in the domestic and overseas exhibitions in the medical field.

As a result, the company is aiming to embark on the business related to the orthopedic implants field, which was the existing business item of Taeyeon Medical Co., Ltd. as expanding Seoul branch office of the medical equipment business unit.

Seoul branch office plans to improve quality of the products of implants related to orthopedics, such as spine, and surgical instruments significantly and expand more aggressively domestic and overseas marketing activities as the brand image and the products in the future.

In particular, the company is slated to release new products related to the orthopedic implant items early next year through Seoul branch office. The implant products, which will be released early next year, will be Vex Cage and Dynous U.

First, “Vex Cage” is the product that was developed through integrating balloon catheter with the concept of the implant; thereby, making it possible to conduct more stable restoration surgery of spine retroflexion. It has a more improved lifting capability than the existing products and it is designed by the mechanism to support the vertebral body as the extended part being separated with the extended state in the damaged vertebral body.

“Dynous U” is the maintaining device of the spacing of the spine to be injected into a spinal featherbone. It is the revolutionary product of second generation of “Spinous Bridge” product, which mitigates the impact that occurs at the intervertebral body due to the addition of the flexible method unlike the existing U-shape and maintains uniform and precise intervertebral spacing.
