J Yook]Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, KOHI (President; Lee Sangyong) successfully concluded ‘Health Finance and Insurance System’ cooperated with Korea and Vietnam Ministry of Health. 14 officials who are in charge of finance and insurance from national and local Ministry of Health in Vietnam participated in this program from November 12 to 22, 2012, supported by World Bank Project.

The program was designed to focus on health finance management and insurance system. Quality lectures were given to the participants by lecturers from Seoul National University, National Health Insurance Corporation. The participants visited Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. They went to Hyundai Steel Mill and Samsung D‘ Light to see and experience Korea’s industry.

Mr. Nong Tuan Phong, Deputy head of Cao Bang Province, Ministry of Health said “I am very privileged to attend the international fellowship program in Korea. It was so impressive to see the Health insurance system in Korea” and “I hope we can set up the Health Insurance system to cover 100% of Vietnamese, with having the model of Korea”
