11th annual Korea First Brand Grand Prize is co-sponsored by Korea Consumer Forum and Korean Economic Daily to select the best brands those have been picked through basic research, brand expert survey, consumer recommendations with the highest score evaluated through online survey, telephone survey, and e-mail survey based on five items such as its quality, service, satisfaction compared to price, satisfaction compared to expectation, intent to reuse, and intent to recommend to others.

Developed by i-SENS since 2000, CareSens blood glucose monitoring system has been exporting to more than 60 countries including USA, Europe, Japan, and Australia, maintaining its reputation for its outstanding technology and product as Korea’s flagship blood glucose monitoring system manufacturer. i-SENS was ranked 9th in the list of ‘2011 status of current medical equipment exports’ by Korean Food and Drug Administration, making 80% of the total sales by exporting in the overseas market. i-SENS continuously showed its growth to be chosen as the next generation of world-class products in the last two consecutive years awarded by Knowledge and Economy Ministry.

CareSens, equipped with the state-of-the-art biosensor technology, was the first ever in the world that measures blood glucose within 5 seconds with a small amount of blood with 0.5ul. Very small amount (0.5ul) of blood can minimize the pain, enabling alternate site testing such as palm, forearm, thighs and other body parts for increased ease of use for children and elders. Its simple structure and easy manufacturing process were recognized by achieving domestic and international patents for introducing advantage of the excellent inter-electrode reproducibility, fast measurement time, and easy mass production.

New CareSens N POP has been upgraded to meet the diverse needs of consumers. With its black MP3 player resembling design, it introduced LCD monitor for easier measurement in the dark, 500 storage memory, temperature display, test strip expiration date notification, and hypoglycemia notification. This high-performance and high-quality CareSens was selected by 60% of the survey participants from ‘Small Hand Type 1 Diabetes’ Internet Community’ which clearly shows their preference due to accuracy and reliability amongst other devices including 4 major companies.
