[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]Citibank Korea Inc. offers special interest rate of up to 4.3%p.a.(before tax) to customers newly opening ‘Very Smart A+ Account’ by the end of March.

The interest rates for ‘Very Smart A+ Account’ vary by the deposit period of respective deposit transaction. The interest rate of 0.1%p.a.(before tax) is applied for the deposit period of 1~30 days, 4.3%p.a.(before tax) for 31~91 days, and 2.5%p.a.(before tax) for after 91 days. The interest rate corresponding to the deposit period is applied to the daily closing balance of respective deposit transaction and the after-tax interest amount is deposited to the account on the following day of last business day of second week of each month.

Besides, Citibank provides additional benefits such as fee waiver transaction on Citibank ATM/phone banking(ARS)/internet banking/mobile banking, fee waiver for transaction on other bank ATM (up to 8 withdrawals and 5 transfers per month), and fee discount for money exchange, remittance, branch counter transaction, if the account satisfies the condition of salary transfer or the average balance of prior month is KRW 900,000 or more.

The product is for individual customers and only one account is available for one customer. The minimum subscription amount is KRW10,000. However, there is no limit of minimum subscription amount if the newly opening customer is aged below 18 or 65 or more, recurring payment is registered, or subscribed as livelihood type saving.
