J Yook]Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare (KOHI, Dr. Lee Sangyong) successfully concluded ‘2013 Dr. Lee Jong-wook Fellowship Doctor’s Training Orientation program’ with Korea Foundation of International Health, KOFIH. 21 doctors from 4 countries: Cambodia, Laos, Tanzania and Vietnam participated in the program from 26th, Feb. to 1st, Mar. in 2013.

The orientation course was designed to review successful Korean health care, and understanding National health insurance. Lectures and study visits at KOHI, KCDC, KNIH, and KFDA located in Osong Health Technology Administration Complex helped the trainees learn and understand the health system in government level. The trainees had an opportunity to know with related to primary health care from Sejong Public Health Center. The trainees also visited Buyeo National Museum and Kudurae Sculpture Park to experience Korea’s culture and history.

Dr. Lee Sangyong, President of KOHI expects that trainees would have brilliant and enjoyable time in Korea and also learn Korean culture & language as well as health care system for 1year of training course.

After orientation, to practice medical skill, doctors will be trained in 4 organizations including Seoul National University, Soonchunhyang University Hospital, Yonsei University Hospital, Inha University Hospital which is selected by KOFIH.
