[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]Catalent Pharma Solutions announced today that Catalent, Inc. has publicly filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock.

The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined. Catalent, Inc. is the parent company of Catalent Pharma Solutions, Inc. The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay debt, with any remaining balance to be used for general corporate purposes.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the SEC but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold, nor may offers to buy be accepted, prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
