[By NBC-1TV H.J Yook]Daemyung Enterprise WEBGATE division(www.webgateinc.com) now cooperates with Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation to implement a highly advanced CCTV system.

A manufacturer, as well as a specialist of video surveillance system, Daemyung Enterprise WEBGATE division and Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation had finalized MOU to substitute old analog CCTV system into highly advanced HD-CCTV system for utmost video quality.

The MOU was arranged to maximize the usage of existing facilities of analog CCTV system and to provide an optimized solution for current railway system. Through clear and vivid real-time monitoring, the personnel can easily protect customers and facilities from hazards or crimes. Through advanced HD-CCTV system, Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation plans to make the railway safe and convenient for the customers.

In this project, both research departments will cooperate to develop optimized high quality CCTV system with the most cost effective method by using existing coaxial cable and other infrastructure.

In fact, one of the benefits of HD-CCTV system is that the system can use the existing coaxial cable to deliver Full-HD video. Also, unlike network-based IP system, there are no delays while transmitting the video, making real-time monitoring possible for the personnel. Also, with high performance video compression solution of DVR, utmost quality video can be stored and can be managed as an evidence of the scene.
