[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]University Putra Malaysia‘s industrial team of 32 people has arrived in Korea on the 7th of April with a 5 nights and 6 days schedule to investigate the latest trends in Korea’s Information and Security Certification Technology.

UPM is a large university with 16 faculties with 18,193 undergraduates, and 6,852 graduate students, operating two major campuses within Malaysia. As a university characterizing Information Technology, Robotics, and Human Resource Development, UPM is learning the latest technology through industrial partnership with PayGate since 2012.

On the 8th of April, Mr. Lee, Dong San, PayGate CTO, gave a successful lecture to the visitors on the Public Authentication Method and Amount Authentication in the future.

The speech was mainly focusing on PayGate's international payment service, secured authentication technology, and the general issues over the past 15 years in the Korean authentication industry. UPM industrial team has shown a great interest in the remarkable growth of e-commerce business overcoming a specific environment in Korea.

Additionally, if given the opportunity, UPM expressed that it hopes to share PayGate's Amount Authentication technology in the SouthEast Asian market, let alone Malyasia.

In the last 2012, UPM has already recruited and dispatched two computer science major students to PayGate in Korea for a 6 months internship program. Following the suit, another two students will be chosen for this year as a new cycle. Those PayGate interns will participate in practical business for 6 months, and then return to school to continue another 6 months of remote project on the security authentication technology together with their professors.

PayGate CTO, Mr. Lee stated his aspiration for the spread of global authentication technology through continuous industrial attachment with UPM, whilst PayGate becoming a partner fostering young talents from Malaysia.

UPM industrial team is scheduled to depart Korea on Saturday, the 12th of April, once it completes the inspection.
