The company has seen a rapid increase in firing furnace sales since the first of the year, including the new Safire with Dri-Tech Dryer. With these tools solar manufacturers are able to realize an increase in overall production performance and profitability in a very challenging market.

At several first in fab production testing environments, the Safire Firing Furnace with Dri-Tech Dryer was able to achieve a 0.1 percent absolute improvement in overall efficiency on a baseline product. Additional Safire benefits achieved during testing include reducing wafer scrap by close to one percent absolute and reducing low efficiency cells by four percent absolute.
