[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) expressed strong support for President Obama's submission overnight of the KORUS FTA to the U.S. Congress for a vote.
AMCHAM Korea is confident that the U.S. President's action in Washington D.C. overnight will lead to a rapid "yes" vote on this historic agreement by the House and the Senate.
AMCHAM Korea has been a long-standing and vocal supporter of early ratification of the KORUS FTA. The agreement is a win-win deal that will increase bilateral trade and create much-needed jobs in both countries.
AMCHAM leaders will travel to Washington D.C. during President Lee's upcoming visit, to lend their voice to the many supporters of the KORUS FTA, and help ensure its immediate passage.
AMCHAM continues to urge early action on the KORUS FTA by the legislatures from both countries to ensure that businesses, workers, and citizens in Korea and the United States fully benefit from this historic agreement.
