[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]Meru Networks (NASDAQ: MERU) has appointed longtime technology market veteran Jeffery D. Sage as Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific region. Sage, who is based in Singapore, previously served in senior sales positions at IBM, Tata Technologies, and General Motors.
“I am very enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead for Meru,” said Sage, “and look forward to helping to drive the company's growth in this critical region.”
At IBM, Sage was responsible for the Fiat/Chrysler global integrated account, headed the Application Management Services Line of Business in ASEAN, and launched the Lean Six Sigma program across the Asia Pacific region. While at Tata, he was the company‘s senior executive General Manager running the company from the India headquarters. As such he was responsible for intellectual capital development, profit and loss, global sales and marketing, and was the lead client executive for the company’s largest global clients. At GM, Sage led a core leadership team responsible for sales, marketing, services, and delivery of manufacturing and engineering solutions across all geographies.
