[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]GM Korea Company announced today that it sold 13,768 vehicles in Korea and exported 62,048 vehicles in November, for total monthly sales of 75,816 vehicles.
The company’s domestic sales were up 27.5 percent from 10,798 vehicles sold in November 2011. GM Korea set the new record for its monthly domestic sales since the launch of Chevrolet brand in Korea last year.
This reflected strong market demand for several Chevrolet products, including the 2013 Cruze, 2013 Orlando and Spark.
Exports of complete vehicles in November increased 4.3 percent year on year. GM Korea also exported 95,078 complete knockdown (CKD) kits of parts and components to be assembled into vehicles.
“GM Korea domestic sales in November were all-time high in 23 months, and we are on track to meet our sales targets for the year,” said Ankush Arora, GM Korea Vice President of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing. “We expect sales to continue growing in the final month as a result of the refreshed 2013 Spark, which will soon start to sell, as well as 10th Anniversary sales promotions and the Korean government’s reduction of the individual Consumer Tax until the end of 2012.”
