[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]Universal CDN (UCDN), a Dallas, Texas-based high-performance content delivery network, today announced it had surpassed 100 Gbps of sustained total network throughput, a fundamental measure of a network’s capacity.
The 100 Gbps milestone represents a more than threefold increase in UCDN’s throughput since June 2012, and reflects the company’s continued investment in building out a worldwide UCDN infrastructure, including the ongoing deployment of additional routers, servers and PoP channels.
“The demand for high-speed delivery of real-time content is driving the rapidly-growing demand for content delivery networks,” said Konstantin Bezruchenko, chief technical officer of UCDN’s parent company XBT Holding. “We will continue growing UCDN to meet our customers’ needs for high performance in worldwide content delivery.”
